Decorated Family Program

Every holiday season, our team here at Christmas Decor of Central New Jersey offers our time and resources to give back to our New Jersey heroes and their families by decorating the homes of local military families for free as part of the Decorated Family Program.

The Decorated Family Program started in 2003 after several caring Christmas Decor franchisees came up with the idea to give back to those who serve the best way we know how: decorating homes during the holiday season. This idea quickly caught on among Christmas Decor franchisees nationwide, becoming a tradition we carry on today.

2022 Decorated Family

From Kelli regarding the 2022 Decorated Family nominee, Alan Picker: 

"During my time at the PTA meetings, I always ask for submissions for a decorated family. The Wieczerak family told me a great story about Alan Picker in Point Pleasant. He is extremely involved in our community, owning a body/mechanic shop in Point that specializes in working on police vehicles.  Alan was diagnosed with ALS last year and has not been able to work or support his family. He has 2 small children, Declan and Charlotte. NJ State Police has funded fundraisers for their family. His story was featured on NJ 101.5. Let’s surprise them the week of Christmas."

2021 Decorated Family

The 2021 Decorated Family's home was given a festive makeover by Christmas Decor of Central New Jersey.

From Kelli regarding the 2021 Decorated Family nominee, Sandy Jessop:

"Anyone who knows Chris and I knows we are all about giving back to our community. What we love about Wall Township is how we all stick together. On the night of our Christmas party, someone sent me this news article. My first thought was, how can we give back? Let’s surprise this wonderful family with Christmas lights. All of our guys were scheduled off the next day, but a few donated their time to help bring joy to the Jessop family. Upon meeting them, Sandy’s strength and hope inspired all of us. Mom of 3, Iraq vet, and school teacher, nothing will stop her from beating this! I’m so happy I could bring the Jessop family joy this Christmas!"
